Trade Kitchen Worktops
Laminate worktops from Kronodesign and Duropal, in postformed and square-edged profiles, with matching upstands and splashbacks. On project work laminate is usually the right answer: hard-wearing, quick to fit, and replaceable a length at a time rather than a room at a time.
The ranges
Kronodesign worktops
A broad décor range covering stone effects, woodgrains and plain colours — the range most often specified on Brooklands project work.
Browse Kronodesign →Duropal worktops
A well-established laminate range with stone, marble and timber effect décors.
Browse Duropal →Postformed worktops
A rolled front edge — the standard profile for most kitchens, and the most forgiving to fit.
Browse postformed →Square-edged worktops
A crisp square profile for a more contemporary look, often paired with handleless doors.
Browse square-edged →Upstands
Matching upstands to close the gap between worktop and wall without tiling.
Browse upstands →Splashbacks
Matching splashbacks behind hobs and sinks, in the same décor as the worktop.

| If the project is… | Consider | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A rental property | Postformed laminate, mid-tone stone or woodgrain décor | Scratch and moisture resistant, hides day-to-day wear, cheap to replace as a single length |
| A resale refurbishment | Square-edged laminate in a stronger décor | Reads as a more expensive surface in photographs and at viewings |
| A multi-plot development | One décor and profile across the scheme | Simplifies ordering, cutting and replacement; reduces the chance of the wrong length reaching the wrong plot |
| A tiered development | Same profile, different décor per tier | Keeps fitting consistent while visibly differentiating the premium units |
Whichever way you go, keep the upstands and splashbacks in the same décor and order them at the same time — they are the items most often forgotten and the ones most likely to hold up a completion.
Sizes and profiles
Worktops are supplied as pre-finished laminate lengths. Available lengths, depths and thicknesses vary by décor and profile, and the exact dimensions of every board are listed on its own product page — including which lengths are stocked in each décor. If you are pricing a run, tell us the wall lengths and we will tell you how many boards it actually takes rather than leaving you to work it out from a size chart.
Ordering worktops by quantity
- Send the runs, not just the total. Three separate 2.4m runs is not the same order as one 7.2m run.
- Say which décor and profile. The same décor is often available in both postformed and square-edged.
- Include upstands and splashbacks. Match them to the worktop décor and order together.
- Allow for waste. Cut-outs and joints mean the boards you need rarely equal the metres you measured.
- Order the whole project at once where you can. Décor availability is confirmed at the point of order, not held indefinitely.
- Ask about delivery. Worktops are long and heavy — larger loads go on a dedicated service.
Worktop delivery
Worktops are delivered across mainland UK on a fully tracked service, with larger worktop loads on a dedicated service and the delivery day arranged with you. Worktop delivery is charged separately from standard parcel delivery; the current rate and any promotional delivery offers are shown on our delivery information page. The Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, offshore and certain remote postcodes may be excluded or surcharged — we always confirm before an order is processed.
